The Maximum Montauk Classic Station contains Three Instruments:

• Maestro Anemometer (Wind Speed/Direction Instrument)

• Proteus Barometer

Introduced in the late 1970’s, Montauk holds the distinction of being Maximum’s single most requested weather instrument arrangement. In celebration of this long standing honor, we are pleased to offer a Limited Edition version of the Maximum flagship station.

When comparing the Montauk Classic to the current Montauk station, one of the more noticeable differences is in the dial artwork. Over the years, the Maximum dials have changed subtly. The dials of the Montauk Classic maintain the look of the instrument dials that we used 25 years ago. Another difference is in the barometer. The Montauk Classic includes the Proteus barometer just as Montauk did when it was first introduced. Adding to the modified dial graphics, each instrument of the Montauk Classic weather station is discretely imprinted with the words “Limited Edition”. Completing the original, "classic" appearance of the weather station is a lighter finished, more detailed, solid mahogany wall-mounting panel.

In addition to the classic styling, each brass cased instrument in the Montauk Classic utilizes a finishing treatment unlike anything ever offered on a Maximum instrument. This “PVD” treatment adds a titanium finish to the solid brass case, making it virtually tarnish-proof. We have tested cases treated with this finish in a harsh salt water environment, for the equivalent of ten years, with no noticeable change in appearance.

Montauk Classic also features Maximum's 5-year Limited Warranty, which warrants the instruments and all components to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 5 years from the original date of purchase. The Montauk Classic consists of three Limited Edition instruments which provide all the information necessary to create your own personal weather forecast:

Mini-Max monitors outdoor temperature, with memory of high and low temperature.

Maestro monitors wind speed and wind direction, with the unique Maximum gust register for recording high wind speed.

Proteus monitors barometric pressure, with reminder needle to track changes in pressure. This attractive arrangement of solid brass instruments on a light Mahogany panel compliments almost any décor, and offers:
